Gould’s Distinctive Clothing is a family owned
specialty clothing store featuring high-quality,
brand-name men’s and women’s merchandise
and committed to a level of customer service that
department stores or larger chain stores are unable
to deliver.
The Gould’s stores began with a small outlet
store in Clinton, Mass. in 1934 by brothers David
and George Gould. They would sometimes come
to work on horseback! Currently, we are located
on Rte. 2A in Acton, Mass., in a big and beautiful
10,000-square-foot store. Gould’s is owned and
operated by George’s sons Marvin, Lester, and
Spencer. George, 98, still comes to work nearly
every morning, but definitely not on horseback.
Gould’s offers a full-service tailor shop with a
full-time master tailor and seamstress. We offer
tailoring service on outside work as well as free
tailoring for anything purchased here. Gould’s does
free gift wrapping all year, and we offer tuxedo
sales and rentals. Gould’s has an experienced and
professional sales staff who make shopping here a
pleasurable and productive experience. Shop local
